Digi Tutorials How to Change Hair Color in Photoshop?Step 1: Open any photo or image to be edited by selecting [CTRL+O] or FILE->OPEN Step 2: Choose Layer > New > Layer to add a new layer to the image. Click OK to apply the changes. Step 3: Click on the Quick Selection Tool in the toolbar to "Paint" a selection using an adjustable round brush tip. • Use Quick Selection Tool to select hair. Step 4: Click on the eye next to the Background layer to make it invisible. Step 5: Click on the Brush Tool in the toolbar to create brush strokes. • Change Opacity to 50% - 75%. Step 6: Click on the Set Foreground Color in the toolbar to change the foreground color. Use the color picker to pick a color to replace Hair Color. Step 7: Adjust Brush Size accordingly to cover the area you are working on and simply brush over the hair selection. Step 8: Click on the Show/Hide visibility column in the Layers Panel to make the layer "Background" visible. Step 9: Choose Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur to apply an adjustable Gaussian Blur to the image. Set the Radius slider to 48.6. Click OK to apply the changes. Step 10: Select Hard Mix from the drop-down menu for Blend Mode. Step 11: Choose Select > Deselect to deselect an active selection. Step 12: Click on the Lasso Tool in the toolbar to make freehand selections. • Draw a lasso selection edge of hair. Adjust settings:: • For Feather enter "4px". Step 13: Choose Edit > Clear to delete the selected pixels. Step 14: Choose Select > Deselect to deselect an active selection. Step 15: Choose Layer > Flatten Image to flatten the image (compressing all layers into one). Step 16: Save. |
